Darwin is the core of Mac OS X, and originally based on FreeBSD. This set includes full Darwin source code and binaries.
Although Darwin is part of Mac OS X, it is also a complete Unix operating system on it's own. Darwin can be used as a Desktop Workstation or put in the back office as a server.
